International and national collectors of fossil treasures annually come together at the Fossilworld Munich. Munich has become one of the world's most important platforms for exhibitors, trade visitors, scientists and museum custodians. The Fossilworld Munich is closely associated with the fossil legend Archaeopteryx. In 2009 the organizers caused an international sensation by uniting seven originals out of the world's ten known specimens of this famous bird and symbol for the theory of evolution. Thus the foundation stone was laid for the Fossilworld. Since then it has become a major international meeting place for the fossils scene and it transports visitors back into prehistory. The organizers of the Munich Show – Mineralientage München are particularly eager to present important original findings to the broad public.


This year the organizers are presenting the "African Secrets". After the groundbreaking "European Dinosaurs" exhibit from last year - uniting for the first time ever Europe's most important original dinosaur findings - one cannot help, but to be already excited about what the Munich Show will unite and present exclusively at the Fossilworld Munich 2012. The special exhibits have become a trade mark of the Munich Show and convey the passion for beautiful and rare stones. This also guarantees a strong media presence, and thus attracts an active flow of visitors to the show.
